Church Lane Residence

Carpinteria, CA
2014

Located in the idyllic beach community of Carpinteria, California, the Church Lane Residence is a new construction, single-story home that pays homage to the master architects, Joseph Eichler and Cliff May. The home embodies the mid-century pillars of integrated indoor / outdoor living and efficient use of living spaces to create a welcoming family home. The post-and-beam roof and the use of natural materials throughout highlight the mid-century aesthetic. Exposed concrete site walls, concrete floors, wood-siding and glass are the primary materials. Visitors enter through a modest fa├žade that opens to a sweeping great room with a height of 15 feet at the ridge beam. In 2016, Dwell Magazine featured the Church Lane Residence.
